Our apartments are located in Arona. A quiet, neat and very touristic town of about 15000 people. In the meantime, Arona offers many services: supermarkets, post office, first aid hospital, police department, fire fighters. In addition, art and history characterize this town. Ancient churches with artwork of prestige. Historical villas in the medieval center (10 minutes walking) with the historical residency of the Borromeo family. Of this last one, one can still admire the ruins of the castle (30 minutes walking) located in a panoramic park lying on a rocky ridge at 100 meters over sea level. Imposing the statue of Sancarlone (5 minutes driving), one of the highest of the world, that can be visited from the inside.

Stresa is the most renowned location of Lago Maggiore, thanks to its historical and prestigious hotels. Just in front of Stresa the three Islands Borromee (Madre, Bella, and Pescatori). The mountain area includes the popular ski station of Mottarone, the below pastures on the east face of the mountain and the Alpinia Botanic Garden. Stresa is connected to the ski station and to the botanic garden through a cableway. From our apartments you can reach Stresa by car (30 minutes), by train (14 minutes), by ferryboat (1 hour).

Angera is easily reachable from our apartments in Arona by Ferryboats (5 min) or by car (30 min). Its quite walk and green lawn by the lake, make it very enjoyable. The Borromea Rocca, castle of big interest, dominates Angera from the top. You can visit the Borromea Rocca and its museum of dolls and toys, a collection of over one thousand pieces, one of the richest of Europe.
